Scientists have determined that the remedy for diarrhea can fight brain cancer

The fight against cancer is conducted by scientists around the world for centuries, but only relatively recently begun to receive some encouraging news. It is difficult to say why the scientists from Frankfurt decided to try the remedy of diarrhea in cancer cells, but they were not full, but tangible success. Introduction loperamide leads to stress response in endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of cancer cells, unfortunately, not all in a row. This stress causes disturbances in nutrition of the cancer cell, its degradation and destruction.

The UK stress causes high activity of ATF4 protein, which is the one most familiar to each of us loperamide. While scientists already were convinced that the drug acts selectively and does not pose a threat to healthy cells of the body. This is a very important discovery, which though cannot be called a victory against glioblastoma, but it can be described as one of the most effective ways on the way.
