Peacock feathers under the microscope

A photographer from British Columbia, Waldo Nell, dedicated a whole series of macro photographs to peacock feathers. It is worth noting that under the microscope they look even more striking.

The fan–shaped eye-shaped "tail" is what makes peacocks one of the most beautiful birds in the world. You can only look at their open lush "fan" with a fascinated gaze and nothing else.
