There are already requests from patients who want to either reduce their breasts to relieve back pain, or insert implants to become more confident in themselves. According to the head of the department of plastic surgery, free operations will be available not only to women, but also to men who also sometimes need to reduce glands.
However, not everyone supported the initiative. Some believe that free plastic is a waste of budget money. Dr. S. Elango, a former Minister of Health, said that money should be spent on the treatment of real diseases.
