This is Ksenia Bezuglova, she won the world beauty contest among wheelchair users. And she is not only a beautiful girl who can only attract men's looks. She is the creator of the City for All project. And yes, she's a wheelchair user.

In her wheelchair, she traveled through Moscow more than many people have walked in their entire lives. She drove through the entire Boulevard Ring, most of the streets of the center of Moscow, checked the availability of Moscow train stations. When was the last time any of you visited the Tretyakov Gallery? And who was enough to bypass it completely? Don't think that it's much easier to go around it. And yes, it was all done for one purpose: to check the accessibility of all these places for the disabled.

One video that I saw recently helped me to remember about it: there, in some town somewhere in Scandinavia, a game was organized for wheelchair users, very similar to our "Watch", only they moved not by cars, but by their wheelchairs all over the city. I know that jokes on this topic are dangerous, but I still tried to imagine this in Russia. I don't know what you had in mind, but a couple of years ago I would have compared it like this: the DTM championship versus a trip to the forest in a rainy autumn on a UAZ with a winch.

I was on a raid with her once last year. The guys then checked and tried to fix the problem areas on the Maroseika. And after all, they managed to achieve their goal, the Maroseyka for the disabled became fully accessible. As activists later said, some entrepreneurs even called them themselves to consult on how and what is best to do. Without the feminine charm and perseverance of Xenia, there was clearly not enough. But she says that this is the merit of the whole "City for All" project.

But not everyone was so friendly. It was said that some particularly ardent representatives of the mountains tried to attack the disabled with their fists. Indeed, you'd think, some kind of left-wing girl here sets her conditions for a proud peasant. But they also found justice for such people.

It's not nice to say that, of course, but there is a definite plus in the situation she got into after a car accident. Not for her, of course, although she admits that the accident helped her rethink life, but for others. We definitely do not have enough people who would be so happy and wholeheartedly help disabled people. And returning to the racing metaphors, it turns out that Ksenia is building tracks. She is for Moscow like Bernie Ecclestone for Formula 1.

"The level of a person's culture and education can be determined in relation to people with disabilities. Moscow has made a huge step forward in this regard in recent years," Ksenia likes to say.

And after getting to know her, I began to look closely at places where it would be impossible to drive in a wheelchair. And interestingly, over time, I notice that there are fewer and fewer such places. Whether this is the result of the project's work or a consequence of the general improvement in the standard of living in Moscow, I do not know. But Ksyusha should still say thank you!
