To mark the anniversary of this significant event, we are publishing collages by Sergey Larenkov, combining archival materials with modern photographs.

1. Ropsha 1944/2013. Soviet soldiers at the Ropshinsky Palace.
Ropsha was liberated from the Nazis on January 19, 1944.
On January 20, 1944, a meeting of the Leningrad Front troops advancing from the Oranienbaum bridgehead and from the Pulkovo Heights took place in the Ropsha area.

2. Peterhof 1944/2012. Soviet cavalry patrol in the Lower Park.
Peterhof was liberated on January 19, 1944.

3. Pushkin 1944/2013. The battle for the Alexandrovskaya station.
Pushkin and Pavlovsk were liberated from the Nazi occupation on January 24, 1944.

4. Pushkin 1944/2013. Scouts at the Catherine Palace.

5. Pushkin 1944/2013. Soviet infantry breaks into the territory of the Catherine Palace.

6. Gatchina 1944/2013. Soviet gunners at the Gatchina Palace.
Gatchina was liberated on January 26, 1944.

7. Leningrad 1944 / Saint Petersburg 2013. A column of captured Nazis on Moskovsky Prospekt.
Leningrad was completely liberated from the blockade on January 27, 1944.

8. On January 27, 1944, at 20:00, Leningrad saluted with 24 volleys from 324 guns in honor of the complete lifting of the blockade. It was the only salute during the war that was not made in Moscow.
