The beauty of the four seasons on the small Finnish island of Long Stone

Categories: Nature

Jani Ylinampa is a photographer from Rovaniemi, in Finnish Lapland. For 15 years now, he has been shooting nature, and he can rightly be called a master of landscapes: he masterfully documents the beauty of dancing auroras, breathtaking sunsets, picturesque forests, reservoirs and other natural wonders of the harsh Lapland region.

One day, Yani caught sight of the beautiful island of Kotisaari (Long Stone) on the Kemijoki River, which has long been the base of local woodcutters engaged in logging in Rovaniemi. On this tiny piece of land (its area is only 0.7 acres, and its length is 230 meters) there are only two houses and there is no electricity.

Traveling along the picturesque river, Yani Ilinampa decided to capture the amazing beauty of the island in all four seasons. For shooting, he used an unmanned aerial vehicle and was able to make fascinating shots. Scroll down to make sure of this.
