The term "paparazzi" (plural "paparazzi") appeared in 1960, thanks to the cult film by Federico Fellini "the Sweet life" (La Dolce Vita). That was the name of one of the characters in the picture, the prototype of which were the numerous "photographers are hunters" like Marcello Geppetto or Tazio Secchiaroli who prowled in search of frames with stars to sell them to the press. After the film's name became a household word.
