Everyone knows that scientists just love to explore twins and have already learned a lot of interesting things about them. Scientists conducted research on a pair of twin girls born in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, in 1974. At the age of two, one of the girls got lost in the market, where she was with her grandmother. For some reason, the police could not find the family of the "lost" and she was given to a foster family. The girl's new parents were from the USA, and she grew up overseas.

The American family looked prosperous, but it was a false impression. Foster dad and mom turned out to be very religious, but they constantly swore and even let their hands loose. The second twin, who remained in South Korea with her relatives, was brought up in a more favorable atmosphere.

Psychologists have had a unique opportunity to study twins who were brought up in different countries, cultures and living conditions. Their cognitive abilities, to the surprise of the researchers, were strikingly different. My sister, who grew up in South Korea, showed excellent results in intelligence tests related to perceptual thinking and information processing speed.

At the same time, the twins, as expected, were similar to each other like two drops of water and even had the same character.
