Despite the fact that modern science is moving forward by leaps and bounds, the female orgasm remains a big mystery. Scientists don't even know why it exists. There is even an opinion that this is some kind of evolutionary failure that appeared by accident. Moaning during sex was no less a secret until recently. But now everything has become clear with this — scientists from Canada explained the essence of the phenomenon.

Scientists have found that women's moans are not associated with orgasm

Scientists from The University of Ottawa conducted a study and stated that female moans during sex have nothing to do with orgasm. Moreover, they believe that they cannot even be considered a sign of pleasure. To draw such conclusions, sexologists interviewed 637 women aged 18 to 82 years. They were asked a number of questions to find out what sensations are accompanied by an orgasm.

A special system with two scales has been developed for the survey. The first is the ORS, or orgasm rating scale, which includes such indicators as "trembling", "trembling" and "pulsation sensation". It also takes into account the emotional closeness between partners. The second — and BSOS, or the scale of bodily sensations of orgasm, evaluates such indicators as "rapid breathing", "spasms of the lower extremities", "tingling of the skin of the face", "increased sweating" and "rapid heartbeat".

After processing the data, it turned out that "copulative vocalizations", that is, moans during sexual intercourse, have no connection with either orgasm or its strength. The data obtained indirectly confirm the results of the 2011 study. Then moans were recognized as a phenomenon that is completely or partially "under the conscious control of women."

Simply put, female moans during intercourse are just a simulation. In this regard, sexologists advise removing the "moans" item from studies studying female sexuality. At the same time, it is recommended to leave such strange assessments of the quality of sexual contact as "transformative embodiment" and "feeling of full presence in your body". And this is despite the fact that few scientists can give a clear definition of these things.
