Prostheses can also be elegant and stylish!

Bespoke Innovations was founded in 2009 by industrial designer Scott Summit and orthopedic surgeon Kenneth Trauner. Their goal is to "transform people who have lost their limbs for some reason." The company creates "fairings" — special coatings for leg prostheses that accurately recreate the shape of the leg. In a word, disability can now be stylish.

1. Such prostheses are created using the process of three-dimensional scanning of the unique shape of each patient's leg.

2. "Fairings" are created for people with amputated lower limbs and with their direct participation.
