His height is only 76 cm. Recently, a man celebrated his 28th birthday surrounded by his family - his mother and younger brother, who is 1.2 m taller than him. Despite dwarfism with a rare complication, Nick grew up in love and care from childhood, thanks to which he always felt happy. Find out how the days of a unique American are passing from our material.
28-year-old Nick Smith from Georgia suffers from microcephalic osteodysplastic primary dwarfism — a rare disease in which a person does not live long and looks like an old dwarf.
Nick managed to refute all the sad predictions of doctors, having lived to such an age. His mother, Shelly, thinks it's a real miracle. Unfortunately, the life expectancy of people with such a diagnosis as his is very small.
Every birthday of Nick is a big holiday for the family, because no one knows if he will live another year.
Shelly tells how difficult it is for her to take care of a special son. She worries about him every day, because even a common cold can end fatally. Nevertheless, the woman is looking for positive aspects in this situation — her boy remains an eternal child.
The life of dwarfs is not easy, but there are many kind hearts in the world. 9-year-old Quaden Bayles, suffering from dwarf disease, received huge support from people from all over the world after his mother shared a heartbreaking video on social networks.
