Two French divers and photographers have captured an incredible series of underwater photographs. Alex Voyer and Alex Roubaud dived and took pictures with sharks and rays, turtles and whales.

“Freediving is not dangerous because we follow basic safety rules, and the first rule is to dive with a friend! Working together is the most important thing for us,” says Roubaud.

Both divers live in Paris and usually train in pools - and from time to time they go to the seas.

“Our images show freedivers interacting with wildlife. Underwater, we feel freer without tanks on our backs - we can’t dive deep, but we swim faster,” explains one of the divers.
