No one likes to wear hospital clothes, although for most of us this is a temporary phenomenon. But there are children who are not so lucky, and the hospital is their permanent place of residence, and the hospital robe is everyday clothes. Thanks to a project called Ward+Robes, dull and ugly hospital clothes may soon be a thing of the past. Several fashion designers have teamed up with the Canadian non-profit organization Starlight Children's Foundation Canada to remake hospital robes and give sick children to be themselves. "Wearing hospital clothes means being in a hospital," the girl says in a video created as part of the project. "There's nothing good about it." Another young patient admits, "She makes me feel like my identity has been stolen."

The Ward+Robes project was recently launched in an Ontario hospital. The creators expect that their stylish hospital clothes will get to other hospitals across the country and even abroad. Considering how happy these children look, it would be great if such clothes were available all over the world.
