Valerie Jones, who worked as a general practitioner, fell ill with breast cancer in March 2016. The 54-year-old British woman was operated on, underwent radiation therapy and was able to defeat the deadly disease.

The woman's husband suggested that she celebrate this joyful event with a trip to the resort.

Valerie went with her husband to Greece, to the island of Santorini. At the resort, the British woman immediately began to celebrate her recovery violently and drank a glass of wine for breakfast. Then she continued to drink alcoholic beverages during the day and in the evening. In addition, she took part in a wedding party, where, apparently, there was also alcohol.
Returning to the room at night, the woman fell unconscious in the toilet. The frightened husband called the doctors, but upon arrival at the hospital, Valerie died.

Valerie's death shocked her family. They assured that the woman never abused alcohol, led an active lifestyle and monitored her health. Her family is quite wealthy: the woman lived in a house worth 1.3 million pounds with a stable.
When Valerie was brought to the UK, an autopsy showed that the cause of death was alcohol intoxication. It was found that the alcohol level in her blood was 4.5 times higher than the limit. The abundance of alcohol led to the fact that the woman's lungs were filled with liquid.
