As you can see in the photo, these amazing black sand beaches are a real miracle of nature. We are accustomed to beaches with white or yellow sand, but black sand is really mesmerizing. The unusual color of the sand is explained by its volcanic origin: during a volcanic eruption, lava descends into the water, where it cools and breaks into small pieces, gradually turning into fine sand.
