Youth and Death: Marwan Pallas and his Homoerotic Works

Categories: Photo project

Marwane Pallas is a French photographer and artist. His pictures resemble pop art at the same time, namely the works of Andy Warhol, and surrealism — for example, the painting of Salvador Dali. Many of the photographs are self—portraits filled with homoeroticism and self-admiration - Pallas is very attractive. At the same time, within the framework of irony, he combines the aesthetics of a slender naked body with something less obvious: blood, pus, scab, and so on. The output is something like a Fayum portrait — a young man and death.

Marwan Pallas is a photographer from Paris who mainly takes his self-portraits. I studied photography on my own. His works have been exhibited in New York, Miami, London and Paris.
