In the 1910s Audrey Manson was the most sought-after model in the world. Sculptures were sculpted and paintings were painted from her, her images were minted on coins, and the US president of that time called Audrey the embodiment of America.
The world's first supermodel was born in 1891 and lived a long life — 104 years. She spent 65 of them in a psychiatric hospital.

Audrey spent her childhood in poverty. Luck smiled when she was noticed walking down Broadway by a famous photographer. Audrey was 15 years old. Her modeling career took off. The girl earned decent money, which she wasted.

The black streak began in 1919: a man fell in love with Audrey, from whom she rented an apartment. To marry a model, he killed his wife. He was caught, sentenced to death and fried in the electric chair.
Audrey had nothing to do with it, but the puritan public turned away from her. No one else wanted to deal with her. It got to the point that Audrey moonlighted as a dishwasher.

At some point, she was so tired that she tried to commit suicide. Pumped out. However, the suicide attempt did not go unnoticed for the psyche. Soon Audrey found herself in a mental hospital, from which she never came out until her death.
The only person who once visited the exiled and forgotten star was her father. She didn't recognize him. She was buried in the same grave with him.
