For example, at the French Sorbonne University. Imagine what it's like to wander through the completely deserted majestic halls that remember Voltaire and Balzac, Jean-Paul Sartre and Marie Skladovskaya-Curie. And to wash the boards on which they could write.
Parisian photographer Ludwig Favre is not a cleaner, but he has long dreamed of capturing the silent Sorbonne. In the end, he managed to get inside when there is no one there.
Favre photographed the university in the morning, during the holidays. "It was as if history had entangled me," Ludwig admitted. The exact date of the foundation of the Sorbonne is unknown, but classes here definitely began no later than 1096.
