We're used to admiring celebrity photos taken by renowned camera experts for glossy magazines. But in reality, amateur photos of stars are far more interesting. Taken with a non-professional camera, without special lighting or props, they show not "celestials" but ordinary people. They, like us, fool around, feel sad, and go about their daily lives. American producer Michael White has created a substantial collection of these types of images, the kind you won't see in magazines.

Michael White was a British theatre impresario and film producer whose 50-year career was closely intertwined with the world of Hollywood celebrity. Extravagant and witty, he remained the life of any party and never missed an opportunity to appear at social events, even in his later years.

While interacting with actors, producers, athletes, and politicians, White took photos with a regular Polaroid camera. He wasn't aiming to create a gallery of portraits, but simply to expand his personal photo album. This is why many of White's photographs are prized by fans of Hollywood stars more than iconic shots by renowned photographers.
