To "expensive-rich": Thai event agency rents a dowry for a wedding

Not only Russians like everything to be "expensive-rich" at a wedding. Thais also do not want to lose face in front of dear guests, even if they do not have money for this most "expensive-rich". But the cunning Thai businessmen found a way out.

Unlike many other countries where the bride must bring the dowry to the house, in Thailand the opposite is true: the dowry is the responsibility of the groom. It is considered a kind of gratitude to the bride's parents for the good upbringing of their daughter and proof that the newlyweds are financially ready to start a new life. But, unfortunately, not all couples have bundles of cash and gold bars that they can show off to the guests at the wedding. Then the Romantiese event agency based in the Thai city of Chiang Mai comes into play. It rents a dowry to the newlyweds.

The agency saves the honor and dignity of a young couple and rents them cash, gold, cars and other attributes of a rich life. For example, to show off a bundle of dollars and a Mercedes car at a wedding, a couple must pay $ 1,100. However, neither the guests nor the newlyweds themselves can approach money at the wedding, they can only be touched by agency employees.

The owners of the agency, husband and wife, said that they were inspired to introduce a new service by their own wedding.

During the first three months of the service's existence, 12 couples used it.
