The ultra-modern estate of one of the creators of The Simpsons, which can be bought for $ 18 million

After the death in March 2015 of colon cancer of Sam Simon - one of the creators of The Simpsons - his estate in Los Angeles was put up for sale. The real estate on a 0.6 hectare plot includes two houses: a luxurious modern mansion and a historic house designed by Richard Neutra, built in 1948.

Proceeds from the sale of real estate will go to charity.

2. Neutra's house with an area of 186 sq. built in 1948 is one of 34 built as part of the Case Study House Program. To date, only 21 such houses remain.

10. Built in 2010, the contemporary home includes ceilings that are up to 7.5 meters high in some places.

15. Over the years, Simon brought in architects and restorers to preserve Neutra's design. Today real estate offers complete privacy for its inhabitants.
