Landlord David Girtchen was simply shocked when he discovered the condition of the tenants who had moved out of the house: dog feces were scattered everywhere, graffiti was painted on the bedroom walls, the bathroom tiles were torn off, and the mattresses were soiled. There were mountains of garbage in the rooms and garage. Girtchen said that the tenants owed him $6,500 because they had not paid rent for several months.

"For the past five years, a couple with three children have rented a house from me. At first everything was fine, they paid on time, and nothing foreshadowed trouble," Girtchen said. — About two or three years ago they didn't pay the rent before Christmas. That's how it all started."

Residents who disappeared without a trace a few weeks ago will appear in court. Unscrupulous tenants locked a dog in the house before leaving, which, fortunately, was saved by the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals.

When Girtchen entered the house, he was simply amazed at the mess caused by the tenants and the locked dog.

"The window is broken, everything is covered in dog feces. Because of the stains, you will have to change the laminate on the lower floor. There are holes in the roof of the garage and garbage is lying everywhere. It's going to take me an awful long time to clean up."

The owner, who lived in the house for 20 years before starting to rent it out, said that the trial was postponed to December. One of the hearings will be devoted to rent debts.
