The teacher has been wearing the same outfit for taking pictures with the class for 40 years in a row

It all started back in 1973, when Dale Irby posed for his first school album as a physical education teacher. A year later, he wore the same clothes on the day of photographing for another album. As soon as he realized this accidental coincidence, he turned it into a funny tradition.

"I was terribly ashamed when I got the school photos for the second year and realized that I was wearing everything the same as the first time," Dale recalls. After the teacher recovered from the initial confusion, he decided that it would be logical to continue wearing the same things for the filming of each of his teacher's portraits.

He wore the same knitted vest, plaid shirt and glasses for forty years in a row.

"After five photos, I thought: why stop?" says the teacher.

So he repeated his winning outfit over and over again until retirement, which he retired in 2013.

By the way, you probably already guessed that Irby was the most beloved physical education teacher of the whole school.
