The house, known among residents of the San Francisco neighborhood as the "Flintstone House" because of its distinctive interiors and exterior design, was initially wanted to sell for $4.2 million. Even after the price was reduced twice, there were no buyers willing to pay the amount mentioned. In addition, many neighbors and locals believe that this house spoils the appearance of the area, especially after it was painted in orange and purple. This is what this miracle of architectural thought looks like, which no one has coveted yet.

Even from afar, you can guess that the Flintstones House is an unusual real estate object.

It is made of concrete, painted orange and purple, although in 1976, when the house was first built, it was white.

Such a strange shape was achieved by applying shotcrete to a frame made of metal reinforcement and a screen mesh, which was held with the help of inflatable balloons, usually used for aeronautics.

This gave the house a prehistoric, bumpy appearance, which is why it was nicknamed the Flintstone House in honor of the popular animated series.

The house, designed for one family, is decorated from the inside with tiles and unique artwork that match the appearance of the structure.

Even the color scheme of the interior matches the color of the walls outside.

There are non-standard ceilings everywhere.

In the 1980s, the house turned out to be neglected, but it was repaired and renovated after mountain water runoff damaged the foundation.

At the same time, the house changed owners.

In the center of the kitchen there is an island that is attached to the roof of the house, equipped with a window for sunlight penetration.

Despite the primitive appearance of the house, it has all the necessary equipment.

The house has been the target of attacks and criticism because of its experimental design.

Many call the house an eyesore, while others are just curious about what's inside.

Since 1996, when the current owners purchased the house for $ 800,000, criticism has only intensified.

It was they who repainted it from white to orange and purple.

Anyway, the strange house has become a landmark in the suburbs of San Francisco.

It is said that many celebrities lived in it, owned it or tried to buy it.

Among them are director George Lucas, actor O. J. Simpson and investors from Silicon Valley.

The house was put up for sale in September 2015 for $ 4.2 million, but it was never bought.

Recently, the price was reduced to 3.2 million dollars. This is the second reduction in the price of a house in less than one year.

The future owners will receive a three-bedroom house with 250 square meters of history.
