The shame of the Ford family, or Why Adolf Hitler awarded the car magnate the Iron Cross

Surprisingly, Adolf Hitler was a passionate admirer of Henry Ford. There was a portrait of the brilliant American in the Fuhrer's office, and his quotes were used in the book "Mein Kampf". It is not customary to talk about this, but there were moments in Ford's life that his descendants are still ashamed of. It is because of them that the owners of the automobile giant have sponsored Jewish organizations for many years and even allocated money for the filming of films about the genocide.

Few people know that the film "Schindler's List" was partially financed by the heirs of Henry Ford. It was not just a charitable gesture — with such an act, the descendants of the founders of the Ford Motor Company tried to get rid of a little guilt. Ford was an ardent anti-Semite and never hid it, and his actions contributed a lot to the emergence of conspiracy theories of "world Zionism" with which the Nazis of the whole world so loved to justify their actions.

In 1918, Ford purchased the Dearborn Independent newspaper, specifically to practice journalism. Every week, the businessman's articles were published on the pages of the publication, mainly on anti-Semitic topics. In 1920, there were so many publications that Ford combined them and published a separate book with the title "International Jewry". It was dedicated to the very conspiracy of Jews seeking world domination.

Five years after the publication of Ford's book, Adolf Hitler publishes his work "Mein Kampf". In the book, the future Fuhrer speaks with admiration about the American and repeatedly quotes his "International Jewry". This led to the fact that Henry Ford began to be especially revered among young people with National Socialist views.

Hitler did not forget his "like-minded man" and highly appreciated his merits. On July 30, 1938, on his 75th birthday, Henry Ford was officially awarded the Order of Merit of the German Eagle (Order of the Iron Cross). This is the highest state award of the Third Reich that foreign citizens could receive.

The US citizens themselves did not share the point of view of their compatriot: the public, scientists and even the church criticized Ford's anti-Semitic book. For several years after the release of "International Jewry", the tycoon had to endure a lot of attacks. The businessman was branded by newspapers, ordinary citizens and presidents refused Ford cars, and when he appeared in public, whistles were heard. In 1927, he was forced to admit his wrongdoing and apologize.

The best Holocaust film in the history of cinema, Schindler's List, appeared largely thanks to Ford's company. The industrialist's grandchildren allocated money for the shooting of the picture to show that they do not share the point of view of their ancestor and are grieving together with everyone. After that, Ford Motor Company, as well as the owners of the company, privately donated money to various Jewish organizations more than once.
