The Moon Is Now More Reachable

Omega's Speedmaster Moonwatch has a very important place in the history of watchmaking and space travel, as this iconic chronograph is the first watch to land on the Moon. Many different versions were produced over the years, and the model remained on the radar of collectors. But the high price tag was far from making it accessible to everyone.

This situation has changed a bit with an extraordinary collaboration announced in the past weeks. The innovative and surprising collaboration between Omega and Swatch has caused a shopping frenzy in watch shops around the world from the moment it was announced.

This series of eleven models is of course inspired by space, and the models bear the same names as space objects stretching from the Sun to Pluto. MoonSwatch models, which are made of bioceramic material that is a mixture of two-thirds ceramic and one-third castor oil, have the same design elements as the original Speedmaster.
