Photographer Joshua Nowitzki and the Great Lakes Drone Company were not afraid of bad weather and went to the scene to capture the icy lighthouse on video.

The structure was built in 1859. It was recently restored for $2 million, raised through private donations.
This historical architectural object often turns into a kind of yeti in the winter months, as the icy waters of Lake Michigan break against it.
Nowicki's videos and photos show terrifying-looking icicles, some of which have frozen at an angle due to strong winds. In this form, the lighthouse looks more like a fairy-tale castle made of ice, which glows from the inside in the dark.
