The king and the Diva: a chance encounter of two stars

Celebrities never be on your own. Just one fleeting meeting United Sophia Loren and Elvis Presley and, of course, there was the photographer who captured this event, which happened in February 1958, for history.

Elvis Presley and Sophia Loren meet accidentally in a cafe the Paramount studios where both were on the set in February 1958. And, of course, that meeting did not go unnoticed. Photographer Bob Willoughby photographed this historic meeting for posterity.

Seeing the King, Sophia Loren did not hesitate to introduce herself to him. More precisely, she came and sat on his lap, kissed him and ruffled hair. And Presley then faded.

Presley always called myself a devoted fan of Sophia Loren. "I watched all her movies,' he confessed. — She's the only one for me!"

He wanted to act with Lauren in one film, and his Manager even had a prepared script suitable for everyone.

"It must be hard to constantly hear the squealing groupies?" — asked the King Lauren. "On the contrary — once there was Elvis. For cries are not heard, if I misinterpret that tune".

As argued by Willoughby, Elvis, despite all his charisma, during the meeting looked confused. "He was very confident, but when the most beautiful woman in the world sitting on your knees and Erosi your hair, you can't help with the embarrassment", I justified star photographer.
