Tim Flach was born, lives and works in London, but he is, without exaggeration, known all over the world. He is known as an advertising photographer working with the largest international corporations, as well as an innovator photographer who used advertising techniques in shooting animals. In 1983, he completed his Master's degree at St. Martin's School of Art, where he studied photography and applied painting. According to Tim, he studied painting more than photography, and his first correspondence mentors were Cezanne and Picasso. And the guides in the world of photography are Irwin Penn, Eugene Smith, Bill Brant and Richard Avedon.

Tim Flack got his first experience shooting animals at the London Zoo. Then he worked successfully in advertising for many years, until one day he needed animals for shooting. "Why not get them into the studio," Tim thought, and got so carried away that he began to shoot animals in an unconventional manner, using studio lighting and a studio background. He moved the studio to the open sky, to the places where animals live, thereby destroying the stereotypes of shooting wildlife. His extensive experience in creating advertising images came in handy. Deprived of the context of the habitat, the animals in Tim's pictures make an indelible impression, amaze with their emotionality and expression. Fascinated viewers unwittingly endow the animals, expertly shot by Tim, with human characters and values. The history of the centuries-old unique partnership of man and horse, acquires a new sound, reflected in the pictures of Flack.

Tim Flack has achieved recognition thanks to his stylized photographs of animals that do not fit into the tradition of wildlife filming, when animals are certainly shown in their natural habitat. Flak avoids obvious compositions. The animals in his pictures are taken out of context, and this unreality forces viewers to reconsider their stereotypes once again.
