This is probably why the conceptual artist Nikolai Lockertsen strives to charge his works with as many colors and shades as possible. Nikolai's paintings are very juicy and you definitely want to visit the fantastic worlds shown in them.

Nikolai Lokertsen was born, grew up and lives in a small Norwegian town-the municipality of Moss. Here he also received a professional education, graduating from the Art School of Mosseporten. The talented artist has been offered many times to leave his hometown and move to the UK and even the USA, but Lockertsen does not think of leaving for a foreign country. He claims to draw inspiration from the Norwegian nature surrounding him and the wonderful people of Moss.

To get acquainted with the work of Nikolai, you will have to spend a lot of time. The artist has been working for more than 20 years and has managed to create a huge number of diverse works. But the main achievement of Lockertsen can be considered his work in cinema — he managed to participate as a design and special effects artist in the creation of 30 science fiction paintings, hundreds of theatrical productions and musicals and countless commercials.
Looking at the colorful and accurately drawn paintings of the Norwegian artist, you might think that he uses a specialized computer and a powerful graphics package. But in fact, almost all of Lockertsen's works are created using an iPad tablet and the Procreate app. Nikolay jokingly calls the workflow "drawing on a tablet" and is sure that he will never change his preferences.

If you liked the paintings of Nikolai, then surely the illustrations of the German artist Ralph Nees, who also loves bright colors and fantastic worlds, will not leave you indifferent.
