The Briton put a jammer against traffic cameras and showed the police the middle finger. But the jammer didn't work
British businessman, 67-year-old Timothy Hill, installed a laser jammer in his white Range Rover, which was supposed to protect him from cameras on the roads and get rid of the hated fines for speeding. But it was not enough for the venerable gentleman that he was deceiving the system, he also wanted to fool around. And every time he drove past the camera at a speed exceeding the established one, he happily showed the middle finger. Because I was absolutely sure that the gadget would not allow me to record either his speed or his hooligan gesture.
Except the jammer wasn't working, and the police saw everything.

A police camera recorded that in December Hill drove three times along the A19 highway near Isingvold, Thirsk and Krathorn. And every time he showed the middle finger.
His actions alerted the police, and they noticed his license plate. Then they followed him all the way to his house in the Yorkshire Dales. The unlucky joker, noticing the tail, tried to throw the jammer into the nearest river near the house.
During the interrogation, the venerable businessman tried to prove that at that time he was working 60 miles from the place where the camera recorded him, and did not drive at all. However, he later admitted his guilt. A British court sentenced Hill to 8 months in prison and took away his rights for a year for attempting to distort the course of justice.
Although North Yorkshire Police were unable to determine the defendant's exact driving speed, Judge Simon Hickey said Hill's actions "struck at the very heart" of justice. Therefore, he was simply obliged to pass such a sentence as an edification.
The police also said that their job is to monitor road safety, and mobile cameras are the best way to help in this. It has been proven that the use of cameras has reduced the number of accidents and saved many lives. And the police officers called the actions of the elderly gentleman "a great way to get into prison."
