These images demonstrate harmony through the union of complementary opposites. Visually, the outlines of the kissing couples form a symbol of yin and yang.
It took the photographer almost two hours to create each of these images. In the photos of kissing couples, at first the men's shoulders looked too big and dominant in the frame, so the photographer had to adjust their position until the correct angle and balance were created.
All the models in the frame, except for one (number 5), were in a real-life relationship at the time of shooting.
