Severe celebration: a couple from Chelyabinsk arranged a wedding photoshoot in gas masks

Newlyweds from Chelyabinsk Daria and Roman Kazak approached their wedding photo shoot in a non-trivial way: the industrial zone near one of the city enterprises against the background of pipes and industrial trash became the scenery for it. Wedding fashion was dictated by the harsh climate of the metallurgical region.

25-year–old newlywed Roman is a trucker, and his 22-year—old wife Daria is a fashion designer. The girl sewed the wedding dress and the groom's suit herself.

For their wedding photo shoot, the couple wanted to prepare something unusual, because it seemed dull to them to shoot against the background of doves and ribbons. The result of the creative was a photo set called: "Harsh Chelyabinsk — harsh weddings! Or Honey, put on a gas mask!"

Roman liked the idea of the photo shoot very much, but his young wife had to be persuaded for a long time. As a result, she categorically refused to wear a gas mask, so as not to spoil her makeup. Specially for her, they got a gas mask, from which the straps were cut off so that it would be more convenient to wear without damaging the hairstyle.

For the entourage to the groom's white tailcoat, they also got a top hat, which looked especially funny against the background of smoking factory pipes. The industrial zone and factory buildings in the frame, the railway and garbage left an unforgettable feeling for the newlyweds. And children in the future will have something to show and compare with the past.

Now these gas masks, which were given to them by their grandfather, will become a family heirloom — the newlyweds intend to keep them "for future generations."

The newlyweds are not part of any activist or environmentalist groups. They call their unusual photo shoot just a joke, but, nevertheless, they are glad that their industrial-style photo shoot has attracted public attention to one of the main problems of their industrial city.
