Her paintings are saturated with bright colors and sexual energy. Soey Milk uses natural motifs, attributes of BDSM culture and scenes from Korean mythology in her works, which makes her paintings unusual and recognizable. (Caution! Nudity).

As a child, Soey Milk wanted to become a ballerina and even attended a dance school. But then paints and pencils appeared in her life and dancing faded into the background. Already at school, she knew for sure that she would be an artist and devoted all her free time to honing her skills.

Today, Soey Milk's paintings cost thousands of dollars, and her exhibitions are held in the United States, Europe, and Asia. The artist lives in a spacious apartment in Los Angeles, which is combined with a studio. She shares the apartment with her husband, a Shiba Inu dog, and 11 decorative chickens.

Soey Milk paints from life and from photographs. The artist says that she invites only people she knows well to pose in the studio. This helps the model to relax, and she can capture the emotional state and convey inner beauty as accurately as possible.

The girls in the artist's paintings are dressed in bright kimonos and tunics. Soey Milk also uses intricate draperies. The author says that she spends a lot of time choosing fabrics for each image. Sometimes she even paints the material herself.

In an interview, Soey Milk said that her paintings are “diary entries, or rather one big entry.” Although different girls pose for the paintings, they all reflect the artist’s inner state and describe certain stages of her life.

Soey Milk's paintings are not just paintings. They are rather an open dialogue between the artist and the world. It intertwines sensuality, cultural codes and personal stories. Where do you think the line is between art and provocation?
