"Russian savvy": How a Russian sold pasta to an American instead of video cards

A Reddit user with the nickname Arcticyclone told in his post how he "got" 3 thousand dollars (230 thousand rubles). He just wanted to buy computer parts from a Russian, but he got pasta and Russian newspapers into the bargain.

A resident of the USA Arcticyclone coveted the ridiculous price of three Radeon RX 6900 XT video cards. They were sold by a resident of Izhevsk on the eBay marketplace. The American made a purchase, made an advance payment and waited for the parcel. But in the box, instead of computer components, for some reason there were three packs of pasta "Red Price" and several Russian newspapers.

The guy at first could not believe his eyes and decided that the mail service had messed up something. But it turned out that everything was right and the pasta came from Izhevsk to him. Redditers sympathized with the deceived buyer and began to give various tips. Most offered to issue a refund on eBay and get the money back. But the victim of the fraudster reported that the deadline for applying for a refund expired on February 4.

The parcel, judging by the customs declaration of the Russian Post, took too long. It was sent back in December last year. It is this slowness that leads to the fact that the shipment was delivered after the return window was closed. So the American's money was most likely "crying".

Not all Reddit users sympathized with Arcticyclone. There were also those who gloated. Some even began to practice wit. For example, one of the participants in the discussion suggested that the buyer of video cards was not deceived, but "dipped". There were also those who said that he was to blame and this case would be a science. Arcticyclone himself jokingly offered to buy Russian pasta from him for $ 237 (18.3 thousand rubles) per pack.
