"Petukhippi": how Soviet magazines mocked the dudes
In the Soviet years, almost everything that did not conform to generally accepted norms, from hairstyles to musical preferences, was ridiculed and/or stigmatized. But the more identical brown trousers were produced by light industry, the more often young people looked at photos of Western ladies. And, if possible, adopted the style.
