With just one shot the girl demonstrates the stages of preparation of a particular dish, and everything that is needed for it ingredients. This interesting national dishes and sauces, as well as simple and familiar recipes.

Marina Ekroos wanted to get people to think to think about what they eat. Food is not only taste and nutrition. Cooking combines many processes that affect the final result. Expanding the recipes into individual steps the photographer showed how many stages is the food and what it consists of meals.
The project started in 2009. The first photo was of the recipe of cinnamon rolls. The series slowly evolved into a book, published in Finland in 2012 and Taiwan in 2016. The book does not contain accurate recipes. It is the link between the world of art and gastronomy.
