Any of their experiments with physical form invariably impress the audience, and you can understand why: sticking a false nose or a fake bald spot is as easy as getting rid of them later, which cannot be said about the extra pounds. Never ceasing to be surprised by the selflessness of the actors, we recall the most vivid transformations in cinema.

Jake Gyllenhaal, Stringer

Matthew Fox, Me, Alex Cross

Jared Leto, Chapter 27

Charlize Theron, The Monster

Chris Pratt, Guardians of the Galaxy
