"No perverts are staring at her there": mom says her 3-year-old daughter is just obsessed with beauty contests

Despite her age, 3-year-old Bella Ferguson from Yorkshire is already practically a professional in the field of beauty contests. The girl took part in more than 20 competitions, where she appeared in designer dresses, with makeup, in wigs and with an artificial tan.

Her mother, Ria, says that Bella is simply obsessed with contests. She herself considers them harmless. "Bella likes to participate in beauty contests, she likes to dress up, apply makeup and play with her friends," Ria said.

The mother of two children calls the contests harmless and does not understand why anyone could be against them at all. "I don't understand why people oppose holding these children's beauty contests. My eldest daughter, for example, goes dancing, wearing much more revealing outfits," she says.

Ria also says that thanks to participation in competitions, Bella has become accustomed to a strict schedule of self-care, which implies the use of artificial tanning, regular application of mascara and thorough preparation for each event.

Bella also wears elaborate wigs and designer dresses at competitions, and her mother does not rule out that soon it will come to false eyelashes and nails.

Ria got hooked on such competitions after watching the popular American TV show Toddlers And Tiaras, dedicated to the stories of mothers and daughters who took part in children's beauty contests. After digging around on Facebook, she accidentally stumbled upon information about a local charity beauty contest in Doncaster. Bella was only 19 months old at the time. The mother hastily made two costumes — one to emphasize Bella's beauty, and the second to emphasize her individuality, and went to the competition.

"We came to the first contest to see what it's like and whether Bella will like it all. She felt like a fish in water there. She liked the beauty and charm of the event, she liked being on stage. As a result, she won in her age category and received the title of "Miss Confidence". From that day on, we became obsessed with competitions," Ria recalls.

To date, Bella has already participated in more than 20 competitions, winning many prizes and diplomas.

Bella's wardrobe is bursting with a variety of outfits, including a costume inspired by the cartoon My Little Pony: a cute skirt is embroidered with crystals and small rainbows, and a short top is decorated with diamonds and soft toys. The unicorn headband completes the image, which, however, is almost invisible because of the hairstyle.

Among the other outfits are a rather revealing firefighter outfit, a delightful off—season suit made based on cartoons about the Flintstone family, and a bright orange dress worth $ 790. Fortunately, Ms. Ferguson doesn't have to spend money on most of these suits.

"I am proud of her — she has so many trophies and various prizes. Bella also likes to chat with older girls, she imitates the way they walk around the stage. We will continue to take part in beauty contests until Bella gets bored, but now she just loves them."
