Ukrainian artist Nikolay Tolmachev is still very young, but he has already managed to conquer Paris. In 2013, as part of the GRANT UART project, he was selected from more than five hundred applicants and given the opportunity to study at the National Higher School of Fine Arts. After completing the course, Nikolai returned to Ukraine, but his works took pride of place in the permanent exhibition of the Da-End gallery in the French capital.

Nikolai has always painted as long as he can remember. He believes that in his case it is as natural as breathing or eating. He drew wherever possible — in albums, on the ground, in the margins of notebooks at school. Today, his technique is impeccable and, combined with incredible imagination and exquisite taste, allows you to create real masterpieces.

Tolmachev's style is recognizable, he developed his own unique style even before he won a grant and started studying. The artist prefers watercolor, because, in his opinion, it is sensual, tender and romantic. Ideas of works come to the master spontaneously, but he takes up work only when a whole image is formed in his head.

Mykola returned to Ukraine despite the fact that he was offered a job in Paris and other countries. Today, the 25-year-old artist collaborates with many French galleries and publications, but prefers to create at home, sending finished works. We offer you to get acquainted with only a few paintings from the huge creative baggage of the young master.
