Miraculous transformation of baby koala rescued from Australian fires

The year began with terrible news from Australia: Fires engulfed the Green continent, depriving many animals of food and habitats. He was rescued from the burning forest by a brave dog, after whom the baby was named.

Baby koala Keli (Keli) got his nickname in honor of the dog that carried him out of the burning Australian forest. A brave dog smelled a cub near the coastal town of Port Macquarie, which is located on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. The terrified baby, who was left without parents, was taken to the koala rescue center, where they immediately began to restore his health.

When he was rescued, the cub weighed only 275 grams. In addition to stress, he also suffered from a severe fungal infection, from which most of his fur fell out. The staff of the center is optimistic — they plan to release Keli into the wild as soon as he gains strength. But first he has to gain weight up to 2.5 kg and get stronger after the experience.

As it turned out later, Keli turned out to be a real fighter. With the help of caring specialists, he quickly defeated the fungal infection, grew fur and grew up.
