Master of Sensual Curves Hamish Blackley

Many believe that the back is the center of female sexuality. British artist Hamish Blakely is absolutely sure that this is true. Most of the women in his paintings have their backs turned to the viewer. And although we do not always see their facial expressions, the artist's skill helps us understand the mood of the heroine.

Hamish Blackley was born in 1968 in the English city of Canterbury to a family of simple employees. No one in his circle was connected with art, but Hamish became seriously interested in painting already in elementary school. After finishing comprehensive school, he received diplomas from Wimbledon School of Art and Kingston University.

Blackley became an illustrator and soon his talent was recognized. In his first year at university he won his first national award and several smaller prizes.

But Hamish Blackley is known throughout the world not as an illustrator, but as a talented painter. His female portraits are filled with sexual energy and emotion, although their heroines are most often shown from the back.
