On May 15, 1905, Las Vegas was founded, the same Sin City in the Nevada Desert, which for many years became a symbol of excitement, sex and revelry. Photographer Vincent Laforet called his project Sin City, which means "Sin City" - this is the second, unofficial name of Las Vegas.

These images were included in a photo album called "Air", which collected aerial photos of London, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.

"The neon colors and shapes themselves seem surreal," admits the creator of this series of images.

From the height in Sin City, you can't see the casinos and gambling houses, but only an abundance of colors and figures in the dark.

The photographer himself calls Las Vegas poetically: "An island of light in the sea of nothingness."

The photographer draws the audience's attention to the very simple layout of city streets in Las Vegas.

"I've never seen anything like this in the air," says Vincent Laforet, adding that looking at Las Vegas from a height, it can be compared to a motherboard or a memory card.

"When I opened the door of the helicopter and stood on the skids, it took me a while to get my nerves in order. But this view... " - says the photographer.

Indeed, these photos are breathtaking in themselves. And if you imagine that they were shot from a height of 2.3 kilometers from an open helicopter, then there is no limit to the admiration of the courage and passion of the photographer for his work.

While shooting from a helicopter, the photographer, according to him, feels passion and happiness.

"If something happened to me, my children would understand, because they know that I do what I love."

"I will never be an astronaut. But this way I get as close to space as possible," the photographer said.

Photographer Vincent Laforet is preparing for another flight at an altitude of more than two kilometers over another night city.
