Kilauea volcano in Hawaii continues to destroy the island

On May 4, the eruption of the Kilauea volcano began on the island of Hawaii (translated from Hawaiian — "spewing", "splashing" or "strongly spreading"). Tremors were felt several days before the eruption, so it was not a surprise for the authorities and local residents — everyone was preparing for evacuation. And when the side cinder cone of the Puu-oo volcano Kilauea collapsed, lava flowed down the slope to residential areas.

As a result, 35 houses were destroyed and about 1,700 local residents were evacuated. The fiery mass destroys trees, houses, roads on its way. Numerous volcanic cracks appear on the earth, which are accompanied by earthquakes. They emit poisonous vapors of sulfur dioxide, which is deadly for humans. Experts' forecasts are still disappointing, and it is unknown when the eruption will end.
