In Yekaterinburg, artists "removed" an old car from reality along with a garage

In many Russian courtyards there are old abandoned cars that no one has been driving for a long time. They rust in the rain and snow, become a target for hooligans and housing for the homeless, and also take up space for passage and parking and simply do not decorate the yard. A group of artists from Yekaterinburg made an art object out of one such "Muscovite".

First, the artists covered the car and garage with white paint, and then projected the desired image onto it — a layer of transparency of the Photoshop graphics editor.

At night, in the light of the projector, they outlined the contours of the drawing, and during the day they painted it with the right colors.

From a certain angle, three-dimensional objects look like a single plane.

After some time, the artists are going to dispose of the car, having received the owner's permission for this. They plan to "cut out" other garbage littering the urban space: destroyed kiosks and rusty garbage cans.

The project was carried out by the team of the Stenograffia festival: Andrey Kolokolov, Taisiya Spirina, Alexander Double-Sv, Maxim Parfenov, Dmitry Chabanov, Konstantin Rakhmanov and Anna Kletz, and the photos were taken by Anna Hristova and Dmitry Chabanov.

The festival of street art and graffiti "Shorthand" has been held in Yekaterinburg for eight years. At this time, artists, in agreement with the city authorities, paint buildings, heating points, crossings and fences.
