It has already been estimated that in just 10-15 years, the number of floods in the United States may triple almost throughout the country and the only state that will not be threatened by this will be severe Alaska. Scientists led by Phil Thompson, an associate professor at the University of Hawaii, note that these floods are likely to occur according to the most destructive scenarios and this will require a revision of the strategy for dealing with these natural phenomena.

In addition, Thompson and his colleagues predict an increase in the number of strong hurricanes in the Atlantic, which even today cause a lot of trouble to the East Coast of the United States.
