An unusual wedding, even by Indian standards, took place on April 22 in the village of Malkapur Pangra, Buldhana district of Maharashtra state. After looking at a potential son-in-law, the bride's father flatly refused to give his daughter in marriage. But once the guests gathered, and everything was ready for the wedding, they decided not to cancel the ceremony.

The bride's father chose a new groom from among the relatives present. The wedding took place anyway and everyone was satisfied, well, maybe with the exception of the bride. Although, as far as we know, in India, the opinion of a girl is not taken into account so often.
