The releases are part of the new Appsperiments program. It was inspired by the Motion Stills app, which the company released last year to use developments to release new apps. Like Motion Stills, the trio of new apps are standalone software, but "built on experimental technology."

Storyboard
The Storyboard app shoots a video clip, selects six frames from the recording and compiles them into a comic. As updates are released, new frames and layouts for the location of frames will appear in the application. Google claims that there are more than one and a half trillion combinations.

Selfissimo!
This app is something like a photo booth in your phone. As soon as you touch the screen to start shooting, Selfissimo! will take a photo every time you freeze. The idea is for you to change poses.

Scrubbies
This application will give you the opportunity to "mix" videos. You need to move your fingers across the screen like a DJ on a record to make a looped video.
