Girl and her invisible friend

This melancholy story tells how an adult girl refuses to forget her imaginary friend, whom she met as a child. The narrator is Frenchwoman Julie de Varoque, who creates mesmerizing beauty photographs full of mysticism, romance and tenderness.

1. An imaginary childhood friend is a healthy development of the imagination, but in adulthood this phenomenon can be a sign of something more serious, such as incredible loneliness or a broken heart.

2. This illusion can also cause conflicting facets of oneself to be expressed.

3. That is why de Varoke chose the same girl as the main character and as her "non-existent" double.

4. According to her, the most important thing is that her model reveals shadows of naive tenderness, as well as moments of instability and anxiety, so that she rushes between something naive and something more dangerous.

5. De Varoke shoots on a Polaroid, soberly and coolly revealing the reality of her heroine's daily life.
