French navigator has been on the road for three years and missed the pandemic

It's hard to believe, but Frenchman Yann Quenet missed the coronavirus pandemic raging in the world. No, this guy wasn't lying in a coma all this time, on the contrary, he was more active than many of us. It's just that Jan is a traveler and spent three years circumnavigating the world. After a long absence, he returned to his homeland and only learned many important news on the shore.

Skipper Jan Kene went on a round-the-world trip from Saint-Que in Brittany more than three years ago. For serious sailing, the Breton independently created a sailing boat, which he called "Baluchon" (Baluchon). This word translates as "bundle" and means the very modest luggage that the wanderers of the past took with them on their journey.

The name is very suitable for a ship assembled in a garage. The "baluchon" is only 4 meters long and at the time of dispatch it was packed with supplies and equipment to the brim. It should be clarified right away that Ken is not an athlete at all and not even an extreme who dreams of a record. A professional sailor went on a long and dangerous solo voyage just for his own pleasure.

Despite the fact that the pandemic did not affect the brave skipper, she was able to change his plans. Initially, Jan Kene was going to swim to Australia and cross it by land, loading his boat on a car. But the Australian authorities refused him entry into the country, and Jan had to go around the Green Continent.

But it was a mere trifle compared to the adventures experienced by a lone sailor. Nevertheless, Ken returned home alive and well. He is not going to stay on land for a long time and is already considering building a new boat.

Three years of swimming is a lot. But this is not the limit. A couple from the UK has been traveling for 11 years and during this time managed to get married and have three children.
